Library Operations & Planning – No New Report

Library Operations (Headquarters) – Candace announced the Downtown College Consortium is closing its doors effective July 31st 2014. Candace has been in contact with organizations interested in partnering with MLS to occupy the space once available.

Candace reported the MLS Friends of the Library have funded this year’s Staff Recognition Event.

Administration / Commission – Donna attended the National Library Legislative Day on May 5th & 6th in Washington, D.C. Donna then passed around fliers from the sessions she attended.

The A & P Committee meeting is today, May 14th at 3:30 pm at the Downtown Library, rooms A & B. The Finance Committee will meet May 27th at 3:30 pm - Downtown Library, rooms A & B.

Donna stated Kellie Delaney and Emily Williams will do Summer Reading presentation at the Commission Meeting tomorrow (May 15th).

Finance & Support – Lloyd stated all budget meetings with Ad-Team are complete.

Lloyd is interviewing applicants for the Security Manager position.

Information Technology – The IT Department is working on ILS.

Development – Diane stated the Library Endowment Trust is preparing for their last meeting of their fiscal year.

Diane is preparing a contract for the speaker of the 2015 Literary Voices event.

Diane announced the Friends Annual Meeting is Tuesday, May 20th.

Human Resources – Absent

MAC – Kim announced Jennifer Jones is doing a wonderful job as the new Marketing Coordinator.

Kim signed contracts for digital and static billboards for the Oklahoma City metro area. Two digital billboards and 4 small traditional static billboards will run MLS ads for Summer Reading, E-Books, etc.

Materials & Outreach – No New Report

Outreach – Absent

Library Operations – The MLS Managers visited Norman West Library for their May (monthly) meeting.

Denyvetta announced the new Assistant Manager – Brandon Beckham, for Southern Oaks Library will start on Monday, June 9th.

Denyvetta reported that interviews for the Northwest Library - Assistant Manager position are scheduled for next week.

The LO Department is working on filling other open positions at this time.
