Seventeen new positions were added and Project Kaleidoscope was part of that. Anne Fischer will add modifications to the 231 budget. Collection HQ and Authority File Processing should be added. The Commission’s shortened version of the budget was mailed out Friday, May 22nd. A shortened, more concise version of the budget will be presented to the Commission in order to simplify information. However, Lloyd will have detailed copies on hand for the Commission at the Finance Committee meeting Thursday, May 28th.

Reports

  • Tim, DIR: So far, no staff member has posed a question regarding changes to the grievance policy. Employees are encouraged to ask questions if they have them.

  • Candace, LO: The Odyssey Leadership Academy will be using space on the 4th floor of DN, running from August 2015-May 2016. Core classes will be in session five days a week, 9am-noon. A group of 50 students (ranging in age), along with their teacher, will be using the Friends Room and three other classrooms. The cost for renting this space was not included in the budget, but it will cost roughly $50,000.

  • Kelley, HUM: When Paycom processed the most recent payroll, the family deduction was not made. An email will be sent out later today informing staff of the issue.

  • Todd, CON: The pre-bid tour of CH is today (5/27). Todd will also meet with the architect tomorrow (5/28) to review the budget and project schedules. The move date for CH could be pushed back to October or November.
