Development – Diane announced that the Friends of the Library are considering receiving help with the board recruitment, and the Endowment Trust is submitting for their committees at this time. Author David McCullough has been selected for Literacy Voices this year.
Facilities Maintenance – Patrick is in the process of resolving a few issues at the Northwest library and Southern Oaks is coming along smoothly. He also announced that on Friday, August 3rd the Bethany library will be closed to replace the electric meter and transformer inside the library. Nicoma Park’s air conditioning system will be replaced.
Information Technology – Anne discussed her time at the ALA Conference. Jimmy is currently meeting with Kellie on a project to transfer Oklahoma Images & Oklahoma Folklore data into a different format for library use.

Facilities Maintenance – Patrick stated that the plumbing issue at Harrah is resolved. The issues at Northwest and Southern Oaks are being handled at this time.
Human Resources – Lori is continuing to review internal processes and her department is currently looking through the employment application process. Lori also announced that the Wellness Meeting is this week.
Administration / Commission – Donna is currently working on Commission re-appointments. There are four Commissioners up for reappointment. Donna announced that Patrick is traveling to the libraries to make sure there isn’t flood damage other than the Capitol Hill location. The Northwest Opening was a huge success and everyone did an amazing job. There has been positive feedback from customers through all sources of media. Furniture delivery for Southern Oaks will be moved in on July 23rd.
Construction Management – Todd stated that we are a week away from the Northwest Grand Opening. The Southern Oaks library will be completed in June and the furniture installation mid July. Negotiation about new parking for the Edmond library is still underway.
Administration / Commission – Discussed parking on opening day at NW, and the plans to have the event outside. Finance meeting will be May 30th Downtown.Commission meeting will be held at the Village library and the department will be working on the Commission reappointment letters.
Finance & Support – Lloyd stated that today was the last budget meeting and things are looking great.
Finance & Support – Lloyd stated that the budget meetings have began, and Bethany library will be closed for installation of new air conditioning May 14th through May 20th.
Information Technology - Anne reported that the public computers are currently being installed at the Northwest library. The sign-in monitor and the security camera monitors are both installed also. Southern Oaks desk is almost finished and ready to move into the library. The ipads for the extensions have been set up and delivered.
Construction Management – Todd announced the Northwest book move-in day will be Monday, April 23rd. Southern Oaks is moving right along. Contract awards for the SO furniture will be presented at the Commission’s meeting on Thursday. Todd received a drawing for revised parking at the Edmond library, which will add about 41 parking spaces, and this is still in progress. There has been concern about lighting for Edmond staff members in the city parking area, and this is also in progress.
Library Operations (HeadQuarters) – Candace announced the headquarters Staff Recognition will be November 10th at the Cowboy’s Hall of Fame.
Construction Management – Todd announced that furniture will be installed on April 16th; book move-in will be that following Monday, April 23rd. The Northwest location is moving right along.
Administration / Commission – Donna met with Mr. Couch, elevator inspections for Belle Isle are still in progress.
Finance & Support – Budget is going well. Carpet at Del City started April 9th, Warr Acres will be next. May 3rd & 4th for accounting conference.
Library Operation & Planning – Kay announced that the Del City library will be closed April 9th for carpeting. Warr Acres is closing for carpeting the week of April 16th, and Bethany will be closed during the work week of May 14th, the week before NW opening. She also discussed her attendance to a few forums such as Emergency Success, Commando Diplomacy, etc.
Library Operations – Extension meeting April 16th in Jones. Denyvetta will be in Tulsa April 5th.
Library Operation & Planning – Kay recently visited with staff at Southern Oaks regarding the differences in library usage at Almonte versus the Walker location. She received great feedback to be used moving forward. Stats show there are a large amount of new library card users at Almonte. Jim Welch provided a map of Southern Oaks new customers since opening the Almonte temporary site. Within a ¼ mile radius, there have been 426 new customer library cards issued. Within a 1 mile radius, there have been 2677 new library cards issued.
